Myo Skeletal Therapy
Myoskeletal Alignment Technique (MAT) Therapy
Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques (MAT) is a term first coined by Dr. Erik Dalton in the early 1980s. It's a way of identifying and correcting dysfunctional, neurologically driven strain patterns before they become pain patterns, Dr. Dalton has created one of the most integrative and complete perspectives on pain management.
The Myoskeletal Alignment Technique (MAT) system brings together the most advanced therapeutic strategies to relieve and ultimately correct patterns in the body that lead to pain and deterioration. With MAT therapy, clients can be free from pain and often avoid invasive surgery or toxic pain medications.
The human body is comprised of structural systems, such as the anatomy of bones, connective tissue and nerves, as well as functional systems, such as the neural signals that trigger muscular contraction. These systems are inseparably connected in a continuous feedback loop. Without a thorough understanding of how these systems work together, most common musculoskeletal complaints are incorrectly assessed and treated. MAT addresses how these brain / body systems work together, what problems lead to pain, and how to recreate optimal balance and performance.
Cupping Therapy
Cupping is an ancient healing therapy that is use to ease pain. A provider places cups on your back, arms, legs or other parts of your body to help loosen up your fascia and promote blood flow. Inside the cup, a vacuum or suction force pulls skin upward pulling toxins away from the tissue.
Cupping is a form of traditional Chinese and Middle Eastern medicine. People have practiced cupping therapy for thousands of years.
Gua Sha
Gua sha, or kerokan, is a traditional Chinese medicine practice in which a tool is used to scrape people's skin in order to produce light petechiae. Gua sha releases unhealthy bodily matter from blood stasis within sore, tired, stiff or injured muscle areas to stimulate new oxygenated blood flow to the areas, thus promoting metabolic cell repair, regeneration, healing and recovery.
Clinical Pain Stretching / Myofascial
Fascial stretch therapy improves the mobility of your nerves & the flexibility of your muscles and fascia by focusing on the fascial lines that connect through and wrap around muscle, nerves, organs, and just about everything else in your body. People of all ages can benefit from fascial stretch therapy, fitness enthusiasts and athletes of all levels.
Fascia surrounds each muscle, and connects them to each other both superficially and deep. It also connects tendons, ligaments, and bone to form a body-wide, functional network. Fascia connects to all of your organs and systems, too. By stretching these fascial connections, we can reap twice the benefits as static stretching isolated muscle groups.
Corrective Exercise
Corrective Exercise is a technique that leverages an understanding of anatomy, kinesiology, and biomechanics to address and fix movement compensations and imbalances to improve the overall quality of movement during workouts and in everyday life.
Corrective Exercise is used to help assess and determine the root cause of imbalances and faulty movement patterns that lead to issues with posture, balance, and total body coordination
